Icy Irony

Reported By Fox News on 2013-12-30

“The leader of a scientific expedition whose ship remains stranded in Antarctic ice says the team, which set out to prove climate change, is ‘stuck in our own experiment.’ But Chris Turney, a professor of climate change at Australia’s University of New South Wales, said it was “silly” to suggest he and 73 others aboard the MV Akademic Shokalskiy were trapped in ice they’d sought to prove had melted. He remained adamant that sea ice is melting, even as the boat remained trapped in frozen seas….” [I love the irony. Kind of like all the times it has unexpectedly snowed at global warming conferences. I wonder if Turney fails to prove man-made climate change is causing ice melt if he’ll keep his job as “professor of climate change”? Just asking.]

An Inconvenient Truth About Fracking

Reported By washingtonexaminer.com on 2013-12-26

“…A new study by the University of Texas found the [fracking] process actually saves water and prevents droughts. ‘The bottom line is that hydraulic fracturing, by boosting natural gas production and moving the state from water-intensive coal technologies, makes our electric power system more drought-resilient,’ Bridget Scanlon, senior research scientist at UT’s Bureau of Economic Geology, said. For every gallon of water used by fracking, Texas saved 33 gallons by using that water to produce electricity from natural gas instead of coal.”

Antarctica sets record for coldest temp ever recorded

Reported By The Blaze on 2013-12-09

“A new look at NASA satellite data revealed that Earth set a new record for coldest temperature recorded. It happened in August 2010 when it hit -135.8 degrees. Then on July 31 of this year, it came close again: -135.3 degrees. The old record had been -128.6 degrees….”

Lenin Toppled At Last

Today in Kiev, Ukraine, a statue of Vladimir Lenin was torn down, decapitated, and destroyed by anti-government protesters.

How nice to see a tribute to a devil toppled. The people of the Ukraine know the bitter fruits of Lenin’s Socialist revolution. They lived through the darkness, terror, murder, subjugation and poverty of Communist rule.

Sadly, there are still Lenin admirers and supporters that harbor the fantasy that Lenin’s aims and even his means were somehow righteous.

Nothing could be further from the truth.
